NEWS UPDATES:

Refugee Resettlement
Thank you for your interest in volunteering to support individuals and families who have arrived in Colorado. The need for volunteers is being determined. It is very likely you will need to have a background check completed prior to volunteering. All Opportunities will be posted on this site and may include supporting a Shelter or a Donation Warehouse. The posting will include the activity, date and time you are needed. If you have questions, please send us an email at ColoradoResponds@gmail.com. For details as they develop, sign up for our E-newsletter or visit ColoradoResponds.org.

Need Volunteers? Register Your Organization!
Do you need volunteers for disaster-related positions? Post unlimited volunteer opportunities to our database of volunteers by registering for a membership today! Visit the Organization Registration page to register. Membership is currently FREE for COVOAD related agencies and allows you to post personalized volunteer opportunities that volunteers can sign up for instantly.

If you are interested in joining disaster response volunteer efforts, please keep these steps in mind:

STEP 1:  DO NOT show up at affected areas. The arrival of unexpected and unaffliated volunteers and material donations will interfere with response efforts.

STEP 2: Sign up for our Colorado Responds E-newsletter for continued updates.

STEP 3: Register for a Volunteer Account to allow you to sign up for volunteer opportunities as they become available.

STEP 4: HANG TIGHT while responding agencies assess what is needed and begin posting opportunities for volunteers.

STEP 5: Visit the Colorado Responds Website for current details on material donation needs. Thank you for all of your help!

***NOTICE: Disasters take time. There will be plenty of opportunities to volunteer in the days, weeks, months, and even years to come. While agencies and first responders are still in disaster response mode, the need for volunteers will be on hold. Once we enter the recovery stage, there will be an increased need for volunteer roles. The best thing to do now is register for a volunteer account and hang tight until volunteer opportunities become available and are posted to this site.

ColoradoResponds.org website was created in partnership between Colorado Voluntary Organizations Active on Disaster (COVOAD) and the Donation and Volunteer Coordination Team (DVCT), in cooperation with Colorado's Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM). This website aims to provide guidance to the public on how to best help communities recover following a disaster.
